Process
How a Situs website gets made.
Six steps from first contact to a live site, and what happens after. You see real work before you commit to anything, and the price is fixed before the build starts.
Free demo or audit call
Start with a free demo of your homepage, or book a free audit call about the site you have now. Either way you see real work, or a straight answer about your current site, before anything is agreed.
Brief and fixed quote
We ask about the business: who your customers are, what they search for, what you want them to do on the site. From that you get one fixed price for the build and any hosting or support you choose. No packages, no surprises later.
Design
A direction in days, not decks. You react to real pages in a browser rather than static mockups, so feedback is about the actual site.
Build
Hand-built, fast and accessible, with the search groundwork done as we go: titles, headings, structured data and a sitemap. You review it on a live preview link before it goes anywhere near your domain.
Launch
We connect your domain, test the enquiry forms, submit the site to Google Search Console and check your Google Business Profile points to it.
After launch
Hosting, renewals and changes stay with the studio that built the site. See ongoing edits and hosting and domains.
What we need from you
Five things that speed everything up.
- Your logo, if you have one, and any brand colours you already use.
- Photos of your work, your team or your premises. Real photos beat stock every time.
- The services you offer and the suburbs or areas you cover.
- Access to your domain, or we can help you register one.
- Login access to your Google Business Profile, if you have one.
Common questions
- Do I need to have everything ready before we start?
- No. The demo and the brief can start with what you have. Content is usually the thing that sets the pace, so the sooner photos and service details arrive, the sooner the site goes live.
- What if I do not like the first design?
- Design happens on real pages so you can react early. Feedback at that stage is expected and is what the design step is for.
- Who owns the website?
- You do. The finished site and your domain belong to your business.
